Sure, it can handle this, but remember that Logic is a HUGE professional program that utilizes a ton of your computer's power. Some people just leave it on all of the time. OTHER SUGGESTIONS: I'm sure you do this - but if not - you should get in the habit of actually shutting-down your iMac a few times a week. Note that when you freeze it, you have to unfreeze before editing the track (aside from simple controls like volume/pan).
